Senior Software Qualification Specialist

Job Description: We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Qualification Specialist to lead our software qualification team. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing software testing and quality assurance processes, ensuring timely completion of tasks, and guiding a team to deliver high-quality software releases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage software testing and qualification processes to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Lead a team of test engineers to deliver high-quality software releases.
  • Support the qualification team in logging and following up on issues found.
  • Resolve impediments to the SP qualification team's progress.
  • Ensure all SP qualification events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
  • Focus on high-quality software releases, reducing lead time is essential.
  • Reuse test results from previous qualifications to free up time and resources.
  • Use freed up time and resources to increase test coverage by using more customer configurations, exploratory testing, or other solutions.
  • Continuously improve processes by facilitating retrospectives and implementing changes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Software Testing and Quality Assurance: In-depth knowledge of software testing methodologies, practices, and tools.
  • Agile/Scrum knowledge.
  • Team Management: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of test engineers.
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve impediments or issues that affect project timelines and quality.
  • Continuous Improvement: A mindset geared towards ongoing process refinement.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure thorough testing and accurate reporting.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and team dynamics.
