Procurement Category Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Category Manager to join our team at Destinus, a pioneering company in the field of autonomous flight systems. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for overseeing international procurement activities across multiple production sites to ensure the timely acquisition of materials, components, and services required for UAV manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:- Category Strategy: Develop and implement category procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and production schedules across manufacturing sites.
- Supplier-Market Analysis: Conduct a thorough market analysis to understand supplier capabilities, market trends, and risks.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and partners to ensure a consistent supply of materials and components.
- Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiate and/or provide support to buyers on procurement contracts, agreements, and pricing terms with suppliers.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with production teams to forecast demand, plan inventory replenishment, and ensure availability of materials and components.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the supply chain and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with business priorities.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in aeronautical, aerospace, mechanical engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience (5-10 years) in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the aerospace, aeronautic, defence, or manufacturing industry.
- Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
