Colgate-Palmolive Company is a leading global consumer goods company that is committed to delivering high-quality products and services to its customers. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team in Breda, Netherlands.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage financial documents such as balance sheets and bank accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with global and local accounting standards.
- Develop and implement effective financial controls and guidelines to ensure a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare monthly financial accounts, including reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments, and review P&L and balance sheet with the Finance Manager.
- Manage accounts payable, including liaison with business partners, review and approval of payment runs, and critical metrics review meetings with the Accounts Payable team.
- Maintain internal and SOX controls, including documentation, review, and testing, and coordinate and handle external and internal audits.
- Prepare taxes, including VAT returns, corporate income tax returns, and withholding tax returns, and assist with audits and annual corporate income tax submissions.
- Process payroll, including posting and reconciling monthly payroll costs, and working closely with local HR to define policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in local (NL and/or BE) GAAP and US GAAP.
- Excellent Excel and Google Sheets skills, with SAP proficiency a strong plus.
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, with the ability to challenge commercial and marketing teams.
- Analytical and pragmatic approach, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
