Job Description

This role is responsible for developing, delivering, and ensuring the performance of applications/software solutions using Ruby on Rails, React, and other relevant technologies. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to incorporate user-defined needs and feedback to improve application design and optimize performance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and deliver high-quality software applications utilizing Ruby on Rails, React, and related technologies.
  2. Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical guidance, and implement solutions.
  3. Maintain and improve existing codebases, identifying areas for optimization and implementing necessary changes.
  4. Participate in agile development methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, and ensuring timely delivery of features/user stories.
  5. Provide mentorship and training to junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  6. Work closely with the architect to design specifications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards.
  7. Write and maintain reliable, efficient, and well-documented code, focusing on front-end and back-end components.
  8. Develop and maintain REST APIs, perform end-to-end testing, and ensure seamless deployment across environments.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in IT and/or Engineering (master's degree preferred).
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in large-scale technical software development environments.
  3. Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, React, Test-Driven Development, Python, Django, REST/GraphQL, Containers/Docker/Kubernetes, Agile/Scrum SW Release management process knowledge.
  4. Experience working in agile environments, ability to write clean, independent code.
  5. Familiarity with software tools including Git, Puppet, Bitbucket, Jira, Jenkins.
  6. Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3.
  7. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, TDD, BDD, and testing tools (Rspec, Selenium, Cucumber, etc.).
  8. Experience working with RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, etc.).
  9. Knowledge in CI/CD pipelines, familiarity with Linux OS, shell scripting.
  10. Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk and automation tools like Ansible.
  11. Security-first mindset, excellent communication skills in English.
  12. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated teamwork, quality orientation, and interpersonal skills.
  13. Proven ability to perform effectively in demanding environments with changing workloads and deadlines.

Salary Range

We offer a competitive salary range of €80,000 - €110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
