Financial Accountant

Sime Darby Oils Zwijndrecht Refinery is a leading international producer of natural vegetable oils and fats. To achieve this, we are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our team in Zwijndrecht.

The Role

  • Responsible for maintaining and updating the fixed assets module, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Preparation of fixed asset schedules and movement reports, as well as monthly operation reports, GFA, and Head office submissions.
  • Monitoring and preparation of fixed assets spent reports, ensuring alignment with budget and computing monthly custom duties based on customs and import licenses.
  • Preparation and submission of statistical information to the Central Bureau of Statistics Netherlands.
  • Preparation and submission of intra-community transactions to the Tax Authority.
  • Preparation and maintenance of hedge accounting computations.
  • Involved in the preparation and reconciliation of monthly VAT transactions report for VAT filing purposes.
  • Issuance of sales invoices or credit notes to customers, including verification of delivery notes before invoicing.
  • Upload of invoices into Tungsten.
  • Posting of payments and clearing of customer invoices against payments in the account receivable module in SAP.
  • Reconciliation of salary transactions provided by the payroll service provider and upload into SAP.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent).
  • At least 5 years' experience in finance and 3 years in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of IFRS (big plus) and/or Dutch GAAP (must).
  • Good knowledge and experience with SAP.
  • Good knowledge and experience of hedge accounting.
  • Experience with VAT/custom reporting.
  • Experience in a multi-national company.
  • Communicative in Dutch and English (must).
