Job Title: Lead Engineer Marine Systems and Machinery

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineer Marine Systems and Machinery to join our team at Vuyk Engineering Rotterdam. As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of marine systems and machinery for new and converted vessels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop marine systems and machinery for new and converted vessels
  • Lead projects and teams to ensure timely and within-budget completion
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and specifications
  • Develop and implement energy-efficient solutions and alternative fuel systems
  • Ensure compliance with classification society and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field
  • At least 8 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of marine systems and machinery, including propulsion, fuel, and fire-extinguishing systems
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
