About the Role
Data is a cornerstone of ING's strategy to become a digital bank, and Data Operations is the team responsible for operationalizing and executing our data strategy. As a Data Quality Consultant, you will be part of Data Operations and play a key role in ensuring data quality across the globe.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise and support the DQ Expert Lead in developing the long-term strategic agenda, preparing plans to deliver priorities, and monitoring progress on initiatives and day-to-day activities.
- Drive project-based initiatives such as revamping dashboards, creating new services, rolling out global project-based activities, and implementing process improvements.
- Closely collaborate with Data Quality Experts and Product Owners to contribute to the development of data quality strategy and roadmap.
- Establish a strong Data Quality community across ING locations, ensuring strong cooperation and aligned execution of data quality practices across entities.
- Prepare external/internal presentations and quarterly reports, including facilitating the preparation of ING Data Quality facts for senior management and regulatory parties.
- Provide DQ training and support to end-users and stakeholders on data quality dashboard, Target Operating Model, and Activity Role matrix.
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data quality management, and proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Experience in navigating complex global environments.
- Overall minimum 8 years of experience.
- Highly analytical with the ability to swiftly identify core issues.
- Possess organizational sensitivity, collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Enthusiastic, dedicated to aiding others' success, and staying proactive.
- Possession of numbers, proficient in Excel and Power Point.
- Set an example by giving and acting upon feedback, fostering continuous improvement.
- Maintain a strong network within the bank and understand the culture and way of working.
- Customer-focused, capable of building trust with senior leadership.
- Firm believer in the ING hubs strategy.
- Proficient in stakeholder management, comfortable operating at senior leadership levels.
- Proven success in establishing executive relationships and influencing decision-making.
- Innate drive to accomplish tasks.
- Set vision and priorities.
- Stand firm in discussions and explain goals in a clear and understanding manner.
- Excellent communication skills, adept at conveying messages across all organizational levels, with outstanding English proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
- Self-starter, adept at nurturing collaborative, flexible, and inclusive relationships.
- Work independently to meet high internal quality standards with attention to detail.
