About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior EH&S Specialist to join our team in Terneuzen, The Netherlands. As a key member of our EH&S organization, you will be responsible for leading the implementation of our global EH&S management systems, ensuring regulatory and safety compliance, and driving performance improvement across our sites.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement EH&S management systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead EH&S performance improvement initiatives to drive site-level results.
  • Coordinate and implement EH&S programs and compliance initiatives across the organization.
  • Participate in incident investigations and corrective action processes to identify and mitigate EH&S risks.
  • Review and approve EH&S-related documents and submittals to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Manage permits and licenses for new and modified equipment, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coach, train, and mentor EH&S technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Perform site or plant gap assessments to identify areas for improvement and develop recommendations for implementation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Fluency in Dutch language required.
  • Relevant working experience in EH&S, Environmental, manufacturing, or related fields is a plus.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with regulatory authorities.
  • Knowledge of Dow's Life Critical Standards.
