Enterprise Architect Product Enablers

ING Bank NL is seeking a skilled Enterprise Architect to join its CoE Architects team in Amsterdam. As an Enterprise Architect, you will play a crucial role in translating the bank's vision into architecture designs and guiding the strategy execution. You will be part of a vibrant team that designs the capabilities that make up the digital bank of tomorrow, influencing the business strategy towards an optimal execution path for delivery of a secure and reliable platform to ultimately deliver great services to our customers.

The Team

The CoE Architects team is responsible for defining an effective path for business and IT transformation by translating the bank's strategy into sustainable designs and technology decisions. You will work closely with domain architects, business colleagues, architects, feature engineers, and IT managers to create and communicate the architecture results.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Translate business vision into end-to-end services by creating, communicating, and improving the key principles and models that describe the future state.
  • Execute the global business & IT roadmap process, with centralized designs and (logical) global decompositions.
  • Analyze market- and IT-trends and contribute to the products we offer to our customers.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced enterprise architects to set architecture vision, principles, and patterns based on the strategy resulting in effective business services.
  • Work together with domain architects and maintain an overview of the work of the various domain architects.
  • Effectively coordinate the communication, participation, and cooperation with domain architects to deliver integrated business services.
  • Manage the complexity of offering generic services to the different product domains.
  • Keep a close relation with area leads, product owners, and engineers, influencing the development priorities and direction.
  • Initiate and be involved in developments to proactively steer on 'fit for purpose'.

Requirements
  • Professional communications skills in English are required.
  • Working in a multinational company requires adaptability, appreciation for multiple viewpoints, customs, and diversity.
  • Broad understanding and affinity with general IT solutions and a profound knowledge of banking services.
  • Ability to understand the way of working of ING and support domain architects.
  • Strong but respective mindset on change for guiding stakeholders to sustainable use of public cloud services.
  • Appreciation and tolerance for regulations.
  • High level of self-awareness of (solution) biases.
