Key Responsibilities:
As a Junior Manager of Network Design, you will oversee straightforward footprint and sourcing initiatives, pinpoint assessment drivers, and assist in the Capacity Strategic Planning. Your contributions are essential for establishing an evaluation and governance framework for the "Make Vs Buy" decision-making process.
Main Duties Include:
- Oversee straightforward footprint and sourcing initiatives, particularly focusing on Make vs Buy assessments.
- Identify assessment drivers such as cost-saving opportunities, strategic alignment, partnerships with external vendors, capacity limitations, innovation, and efficiency within the internal network.
- Facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams (finance, S&OP, engineering, logistics, procurement) to develop scenarios and collect relevant data.
- Conduct basic network evaluations, derive insights and recommendations, and engage in discussions regarding outcomes and alternatives.
- Assist in the Capacity Strategic Plan, which includes evaluating offload possibilities, scenario analysis, and forecasting capacity needs.
- Gather production asset parameters, including shifts, OEE glidepath, and distribution centers, to calculate capacity forecasts for chosen scenarios and integrate external manufacturing landscapes into the process.
- Comprehend potential solutions presented in factory workshops, by external manufacturers, and within warehouses.
- Support the Capacity Analyst in discussions related to selected capacity evaluations.
- Establish, document, and execute processes for the assessment and governance of Make vs Buy decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, logistics, business, economics, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in footprint optimization, strategic planning, supply chain management, or supply chain finance within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) context.
- Proficient in modeling tools, with experience in SC Guru considered advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in a second language is an asset.
