Bioinformatics Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Bioinformatics Specialist to join our team at the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) at HKU. As a Bioinformatics Specialist, you will be responsible for managing, exploring, and performing data mining to address important biological questions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and analyze genomics or proteomics datasets
  • Engage in collaborative efforts with scientists and provide expert informatics solutions
  • Develop and implement data mining strategies to address biological questions

Requirements

  • Master's degree or above in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biological Sciences, or related disciplines
  • Ability to use programming languages such as R, Python, or related languages
  • Experience in analyzing genomics or proteomics datasets (advantageous)
  • Good communication skills
  • Proactive and enjoy teamwork
