About the Job
We are seeking a Biostatistics Intern to contribute to our research and innovation efforts at Danone Nutricia Research. As a member of our Biostatistics team, you will play a key role in reviewing and analyzing historical longitudinal studies, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing innovative solutions to enhance our research processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive review of historical longitudinal studies conducted by Danone Nutricia Research, as well as relevant external publications;
- Analyze study methodologies, identify pitfalls and potential improvements;
- Collaborate with team members to develop and propose innovative solutions for future studies with longitudinal data;
- Document the findings and present recommendations to the Biometrics team, contributing to our continuous efforts to improve our research methodology.
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong statistical background and excellent communication skills. You should be able to review the literature, methodology, and analyze data, and have a keen eye for identifying areas of improvement. Additionally, you should be a friendly, approachable team player with excellent communication skills, who's always looking for opportunities to learn and develop.
Requirements:
- You are experienced with statistical analysis tools such as SAS and R;
- Enrolled as a Master's student during the whole internship period (if you are a non-EU citizen, you need to be enrolled at a Dutch university);
- Ideally available to start in October for a minimum of 6 months, 4-5 days per week;
- You are fluent in English – both oral and written;
- You are able to work from our Utrecht office (at least) 2 times per week;
- Please note that you are required to relocate to the Netherlands (if abroad) and you have/get a Dutch social security number (BSN) for this internship.

We Offer
As a Biostatistics intern, you will work in a team consisting of statistical programmers and (senior) statisticians, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research. You'll be supported from beginning to end by your supervisor, and you will have the chance to work alongside clinical researchers in the field. Together, we'll build a healthier world.
We offer a gross monthly internship allowance of 650 euros per month and a home working allowance/contribution towards travel. Please do keep in mind that we do not offer relocation and/or accommodation benefits for students coming from abroad.
Please be aware that you must acquire a BSN number to receive the full internship allowance.
In the Netherlands, we also offer a hybrid working environment which enables each team to meet our people's desire for flexibility.
