Job Summary

Nouvall Engineering Services B.V. is seeking a highly skilled Integration Engineer Interior to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for the effective subcontracting and detailed engineering of joinery systems for our naval vessels.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Formulate functional technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors based on customer and design requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive technical specifications for joinery work, aligned with industry regulations and standards.
  • Partner with procurement and supply chain teams to identify suitable materials and vendors for accommodation joinery and insulation.
  • Assist with quality inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests to confirm that completed joinery meets the necessary standards.
  • Offer technical support and direction to the production team, addressing any challenges that may arise during the project.
  • Keep thorough documentation of joinery specifications, modifications, and project developments.
  • Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to ensure the seamless integration of joinery with other ship systems.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Technical Specification Engineer or in a similar capacity, specifically focused on joinery in the maritime sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of joinery materials, methods, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for creating technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for interpreting complex engineering data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A keen attention to detail and a dedication to producing high-quality work.
  • Familiarity with the construction processes and regulations pertaining to naval vessels is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken; knowledge of German is a notable advantage.
