We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to become a vital part of our team at GXO Logistics, Inc. Your expertise in financial management will be essential in ensuring accuracy and fostering collaboration across various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance of general ledger accounts, including the assessment of journal entry requirements.
- Prepare and post journal entries with precision.
- Utilize your knowledge of Dutch/US GAAP and related standards to guide financial practices.
- Conduct thorough preliminary reviews of financial statements before finalizing the general ledger.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger accounts and uphold financial controls in accordance with company policies.
- Analyze financial outcomes as part of the operational review process.
- Investigate and clarify discrepancies for management.
- Manage assigned accounts and processes from initiation through to reporting and monitoring.
- Engage in cross-departmental teams to enhance GXO Logistics processes.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting by auditing entries against financial activities.
- Continuously seek opportunities to minimize costs associated with financial responsibilities.
- Participate in additional projects and duties as required.
- Actively contribute to reducing environmental impact through sustainable practices.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is generally required; a suitable combination of education, experience, or training will also be considered.
- 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally within a large, multi-faceted organization, with a focus on preparing and auditing complex financial reports.
- Proficient in Oracle general ledger or fixed assets, with strong spreadsheet capabilities and familiarity with word processing and financial database applications.
- Fluency in English is essential; basic knowledge of Dutch is preferred.
