A challenging position as a Mechanical Engineering Team Lead is available within our growing, international, and dynamic organization.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this role is based on your experience, with 27+13 days holidays and a competitive individual bonus scheme. Additionally, you will enjoy flexible working hours and the option to work hybrid.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Mechanical Engineering Team Lead, you will be responsible for the development of mechanical parts and assemblies for security video cameras. This includes coordinating tasks and distributing workload accordingly, providing realistic and data-based planning for project tasks, and communicating on different levels within the organization.
You will also participate in the architecture definition, concept creation, and proof of feasibility with the mechanical architects. Furthermore, you will translate product requirements into mechanical parts, follow up from design to release for mass production, and analyze customer requirements to ensure they are implemented while safeguarding functionality, performance, quality, reliability, and manufacturability of products.
You will work on a multidisciplinary team, making use of and sharing your expertise to review and advise on multiple designs/concepts and coach junior team members.
QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you should have a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and relevant experience (around 10 years) in development and industrialization of complex products. You should also have experience as a lead engineer, including regular communication with other domain departments and external suppliers.
In addition, you should be able to balance business needs with quality requirements, be familiar with state-of-the-art development techniques and CAD (preferably CREO), and be able to prove the design by means of calculations and simulations. Experience in common manufacturing processes such as sheet metal, plastic injection moulding, machining, die casting, etc., as well as knowledge on coatings and surface treatments, is also required.
Familiarity with AI tools for mechanical hardware development is a plus.
