SalaryThe gross monthly salary for this position ranges from € 4537,- to € 7056,- (scale 11 and scale 12), depending on your experience and qualifications. You will also receive an annual holiday allowance of 8% of the yearly salary, plus a year-end allowance of 8.3% of the annual salary.
Job DescriptionAs Assistant Professor in Theoretical/Computational Soft Matter Physics, your primary responsibility will be to lead your own research group, conducting high-quality academic research in soft matter physics. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from various departments and institutes, including the Institute for Complex Molecular Systems (ICMS), the Eindhoven Artificial Intelligence Systems Institute (EAISI), and the Eindhoven Institute for Renewable Energy Systems (EIRES).
You will be expected to develop and teach courses in Applied Physics, contributing to the bachelor and master teaching program. Additionally, you will participate in departmental and university-wide initiatives, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications- A PhD in Theoretical/Computational Physics or a related field, with at least two years of experience as a researcher.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct high-quality academic research, reflected in peer-reviewed publications and other scholarly outputs.
- Affinity and willingness to teach and mentor students at the bachelor, master, and PhD levels.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
