One of our key clients in Amsterdam is seeking an experienced IT Solution Architect. This role involves flexible working arrangements, with one day spent on-site each week.
This is a 12-month contract, extendable, focusing on a specific project: enhancing the quality of IT systems through strategic design and implementation. The objective is to optimize technology infrastructure, improve efficiency, and ensure smooth alignment between design, implementation, and business goals.
Main Responsibilities
- Liaise between Domain Architects and DevOps teams to foster effective collaboration.
- Deep understanding of the business context, including its needs, rules, architecture, organizational structure, culture, capabilities, and processes.
- Translation of regulations, policies, and requirements into actionable solutions.
- Maintenance of accurate documentation detailing 'as-is' and 'to-be' processes and designs, alongside necessary steps for migrating to the 'to-be' state.
- Organization and participation in workshops and presentations with DevOps teams to facilitate decision-making.
- Awareness of architectural patterns such as Request/Reply, Event-driven architecture (Kafka), Microservices, and Resilience patterns (retry strategies).
- Collaboration in developing Well-Architected patterns through Cookbooks and developer training, while addressing any deviations.
- Effective translation of Solution Architectures into Feature Solution Approaches in cooperation with DevOps teams.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in Platform Architecture, especially in Cloud-Native Applications and the Well-Architected Framework.
- Assistance to DevOps teams in establishing and estimating Epics, Features, and User Stories, enhancing predictability for PSS and QBR processes.
- Identification and escalation of non-compliance instances with organizational policies, procedures, or regulatory codes within the team.
- Monitoring and evaluation of service performance and behavior within the area of responsibility, ensuring adherence to policies and regulatory codes.
- Closure loop to guarantee that code development adheres to architecture and design guidelines. Guidance of developers and escalation of compliance issues as necessary.
