Product Developer Job Description

ECCO is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Developer to join our team in Dongen, the Netherlands. As a Product Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development of new leathers, working closely with our technical team, sales managers, and production teams in Asia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new leathers from start to finish, collaborating with our technical team to ensure timely and efficient production.
  • Communicate project status to all relevant stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate project records and data, ensuring easy access to master data.
  • Add relevant projects to the R&D planning, ensuring timely and efficient development.
  • Organize production master references, ensuring easy access to critical information.
  • Create briefings for new projects with customers, ensuring clear communication and expectations.
  • Prepare handovers for new leather projects from development to production, ensuring all necessary references and data are available.
  • Prepare product information for the sales team, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Initiate lab tests for new articles, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Gather information on sales and customer reactions to products, providing valuable insights for future development.
  • Provide administrative support using necessary data systems, such as SAP.
  • Identify production and supply difficulties, resolving issues and delays in a timely manner.
  • Act as a backup for other areas in the department, such as planning or master data controller.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in textile management, fashion management, product development, business administration, or a related field.
  • Strong hands-on mentality, with excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple cultures and stakeholders.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong desire to learn and grow.
  • Excellent Excel skills, with the ability to analyze complex data.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment, with a high level of English proficiency.
