About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Back-end Developer to join our team at ABN Amro. As a key member of our agile scrum team, you will be responsible for driving the development and enhancement of our app, focusing on addressing and resolving complex user stories.

Your expertise and knowledge will allow you to lead in exploring and mastering new technologies or frameworks, keeping not only yourself but also your team, at the forefront of technological advancements. As a senior developer, part of your role is to share this knowledge, mentoring junior developers and fostering a collaborative and learning-focused team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance our app, focusing on addressing and resolving complex user stories
  • Lead in exploring and mastering new technologies or frameworks
  • Mentor junior developers and foster a collaborative and learning-focused team environment
  • Work closely with your team to develop innovative features and ensure a smooth user experience for our users
Requirements
  • Extensive experience with micro-services and event-driven architecture, especially on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS/Postgres, ECS/EKS, Kafka, Firehose)
  • Proficient with Go on AWS Lambda, Java/Spring in containers, and Typescript for CDK
  • Exceptional communication skills, actively participate in meetings, and can effectively communicate complex technical insights to both technical and non-technical team members
  • Experience guiding junior developers and creating opportunities for them to contribute to large-scale projects
  • Strong architectural vision and the ability to assess the impact of changes on the overall project, predict potential issues, and devise solutions
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment, as well as providing and receiving constructive feedback
  • Eager to challenge the status quo, innovate, and continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and changes
What We Offer
  • Gross monthly salary based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget
  • Benefit Budget of 11% of your salary, allowing you to acquire additional employment benefits
