System Designer for Complex High-Tech Products

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer Flow and Thermal Specialist to join our team at Sioux Technologies. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Architect in deriving system requirements from customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate system requirements into thermal or fluid architecture within the context of a multi-disciplinary system.
  • Perform calculations and analyses, such as pressure drop calculations, thermal calculation with lumped mass modeling.
  • Define thermal FEM/CFD simulations and analyze the results.
  • Understand the thermal or flow architecture on system level and make design considerations on detailed level.
  • Select and define the needed components to define the function.
  • Setup and prosecute validation measurements.

You will work within a close-knit team of enthusiastic specialists in electronics, software, mechanics, mechatronics, physics, optics, and mathematics. Our team is passionate about developing and building complex high-tech products that make society healthier, safer, smarter, more sustainable, and more fun.

Requirements
  • Master's or PhD degree in Mechanics and/or Mechatronics.
  • 5 years of experience in the F&T domain, including 2 years as a System Designer.
  • Strong technical skills and affection with thermal or fluid dynamics.
  • Strong analytical mind and skills; able to define and perform the required analysis and calculations.
  • Strong communicator with a pro-active attitude.
  • Ability to coach and guide other Engineers.
