About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to join our Mechatronics Systems Development team at ASML. As a Senior Architect, you will play a key role in the design and development of mechatronics architecture or functions of modules, working closely with mechanical, electrical, and software departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of actuator development across the v-model, from feasibility investigation to industrialization at our actuator production facility.
  • Define the actuator architecture for new modules and develop solutions for existing modules.
  • Guide and lead a team of design engineers and specify solutions towards mono-disciplinary departments.
  • Build up and maintain specialist knowledge on actuation and basic knowledge in fields of servo control, signal analysis, testing, software, mechanics, optics, electronics, sensors, and dynamics.
Requirements
  • Technical University Master's or PhD in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Technical Physics.
  • Preference: theoretical and/or practical experience with electromagnetic actuator design, including finite-element analysis.
  • Affinity with control engineering, power electronics, and mechanical development of high-precision products.
  • Affinity with manufacturing processes (coil winding, magnet assembly, laser welding).
  • Skilled in Matlab.
