About Us: Hypersoniq is a pioneering startup dedicated to the development and commercialization of cutting-edge electrochemical sensor technology. Our mission is to offer direct insight into water quality across various industries, using our electrochemical sensor technology to reduce environmental impact, save costs, and ensure compliance.
Role Overview: We are seeking a talented Product R&D Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position will be crucial in transitioning our prototype into a final product and driving our research and development efforts forward. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in sensor technology and a proven ability to work in both design and R&D capacities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Lead the product design and refinement of our electrochemical sensor, ensuring it meets performance, reliability, and manufacturing standards. Ensure electrodes seamlessly fit into sensor housing and measurement chamber. Design miniaturized versions of electrodes and sensors.
- R&D: Conduct research to advance our sensor technology by exploring new materials, designs, and technologies that can improve product performance and broaden application.
- Prototyping and Testing: Develop and test prototypes, analyze test results, and iterate designs based on feedback and performance data.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, scientists, and stakeholders to integrate research findings into practical, market-ready solutions.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, test results, and research findings. Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Project Management: Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful completion of design and R&D projects.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical design, preferably with a focus on sensor technology or electrochemical sensors.
- Skills: Strong proficiency in CAD software, experience with design and prototyping, and familiarity with R&D methodologies.
- Attributes: Innovative thinker with a problem-solving mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Additional Skills: Experience with manufacturing processes like microfabrication, CNC machining, 3D-printing, cleanroom techniques, and with data analysis, and project management tools is a plus.
