Senior Marine Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Marine Systems Engineer to join our team at Bluewater. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality engineering output for marine systems projects. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that our projects meet the highest technical standards, budget, and planning requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Marine Systems Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Concept and basic engineering of marine systems and piping on FPSO and SPM systems
- Creating equipment specifications, P&IDs, arrangements, and design reports
- Procurement-related activities, including contact with vendors, TBEs, and review of vendor data
- Determining heat balances, pipe sizes, power requirements, and participating in HAZOPs and HAZIDs
- Leading a team of engineers and designers, supervising subcontractors, and creating CTRs and Scope of Works
- Obtaining client and third-party approval on projects and assisting the yard site team
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, or naval architecture with a marine specialization
- Over 8 years of relevant experience in marine systems engineering, preferably in the offshore oil and gas industry
- Familiarity with rules of classification societies (ABS, DNV, BV, and LR) and international codes and standards (HSE UK, Marpol, Solas, PFEER, etc.)
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
