Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I/II


At the School of Public Health, HKU, we are seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to join our team as Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I/II. The successful candidates will be part of a dynamic and collaborative environment, working closely with our experienced researchers to advance the field of public health.


Key Responsibilities


Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in statistics, biostatistics, computational biology, computer science, bioinformatics or related disciplines. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, good interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; and a strong sense of responsibility.


The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and able to work collaboratively in a team. Knowledge of quantitative skills and mathematical/statistical modelling is essential. Experience in statistical analysis, time series analysis, machine learning, bioinformatics, and proficiency in statistical and computer software (e.g., R, Python, C++, MATLAB, BEAST) are highly preferred.


Those with 3 years' relevant experience or more may be considered for appointment as Senior Research Assistant. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
