Job Overview

In this challenging position, you will be responsible for various aspects of trade accounting within a dynamic and international environment.

The Business Control team is part of the Accounting department at Viterra B.V. and consists of 9 colleagues who work together in an informal and supportive manner.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • You will prepare trade balance sheets and profit/loss statements for multiple commodities.
  • You will prepare global results for the Viterra group per commodity and collaborate with accountants from various offices to analyze the outcomes.
  • You are accountable for mark-to-market valuations of commodities, derivatives, and freight positions.
  • You are involved in reconciling inventory and derivatives positions with third-party statements.
  • You participate in the audit process of Viterra B.V.
  • You will also follow up on ad-hoc business requests and projects aimed at improving efficiency and effectiveness in accounting and reporting processes.
About You
  • You hold a master's degree in (Financial) Economics or a relevant field.
  • You have 1-3 years of experience in an audit firm, preferably Big 4.
  • You possess IT literacy with extensive knowledge of MS Office and SAP.
  • You have a practical attitude, good communication skills, and a proactive, no-nonsense mentality.
  • You are accurate and possess good analytical skills.
  • You work well independently while being a team player.
  • You are curious and willing to learn about the company's business.
  • You are fluent in English (in writing and speech).
