About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our BARBOUNIA team at the Conservatorium Hotel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of a designated section within the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food production, hygiene, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor junior members of the kitchen brigade, guiding and supporting them in their development.
  • Oversee all aspects of food production, including menu planning, inventory management, and quality control.
  • Ensure compliance with hygiene code and HACCP regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the culinary team to maintain a cohesive and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Participate in menu development and implementation, ensuring dishes are created with respect to seasons, nature, and environment.
Requirements
  • Recent/current experience in the same position as Chef de Partie for at least two years.
  • Experience in the type of cuisine served at BARBOUNIA, with a focus on authentic cuisine from the South of France, Italy, and Greece.
  • Good knowledge of Dutch and English language (written and spoken).
  • Familiarity with modern European techniques and Dutch influence in food production.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekend shifts, with flexibility to adapt to changing kitchen demands.
