Job Description

At Boskalis, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Dredge Operator Cutter to join our team. As a key member of our dredging division, you will be responsible for operating the dredger to achieve maximum production while ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel on deck.

Your Responsibilities

  • Operate the dredger to achieve maximum production according to operational capabilities and project requirements.
  • Ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on deck during the watch.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with relevant company guidelines and procedures.
  • Responsible for the safe navigation and anchoring of assigned equipment under all conditions during the watch.
  • Ensure compliance with operational plan of work requirements.
  • Coordinate the work of the deck duty and provide instructions.
  • Execute emergency repairs during the watch.

Requirements

  • Experience with verifiable reference on a self-propelled cutter dredger with at least 2500kW cutter power.
  • Excellent knowledge of the dredging process and specific requirements for navigation and anchor handling during operational dredging.
  • Valid STCW documents. Holding a COC of minimum 3000 GT and above is a plus.
  • A good command of written and spoken English.
  • Valid seafarers medical certificate.
