We are seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer to join our team at the University of Twente in the field of chemical plastic recycling. The successful candidate will be part of the Amazing project, a collaborative effort between industry partners, research organizations, and the university.
The project aims to develop a pilot plant for the chemical recycling of aromatic polyamide (aramid) fibres. As a Research Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing the separation and purification train of the pilot plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop experimental laboratory systems for chemical plastic recycling
- Collaborate with the design team to optimize the pilot plant's separation and purification train
- Conduct research and development activities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the recycling process
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field
- Experience with experimental laboratory systems and chemical recycling processes
- Fluency in English

- Full-time position for 2 years
- Competitive salary of € 2.618,- gross per month
