Onera Health is a leader in transforming sleep medicine and remote monitoring. As a Finance and Control Intern, you will play a crucial role in defining and setting up documentation of Onera's finance processes and control framework.

You will work closely with the finance team and relevant stakeholders from other departments to map and document the finance and accounting processes. This is a unique opportunity to gain a thorough understanding of the inside workings of a start-up/scale-up venture.

As part of a multidisciplinary, young, and international start-up team, you will have great opportunities for personal and professional growth with a steep learning curve. You will also have the chance to incorporate this assignment as a graduation project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research best practices on finance/accounting manual formats
  • Align with the Onera finance team on the format, setup, and requirements suitable for Onera's stage for a V1.0 manual
  • Interview the relevant stakeholders in order to understand the processes and document it accordingly
  • Desired outcomes of the internship project:

Accounting manual V1.0 with process documentation

Work instructions for the applicable processes

Highlight any risks/bottlenecks where applicable

Define actionable next steps in maturing the manual further

Requirements
  • BSc or MSc student at a Dutch university/HBO in relevant area such as Business Administration, finance or accounting is a plus
  • Intrinsically motivated to organize and define processes; curious to learn
  • Available for 3-6 months for this assignment
  • Ability to work independently on a project
  • Good communication skills in English (written and spoken)
  • Positive attitude, can-do mentality, and flexibility – much needed in a start-up
