Lead Architect for Industrial IoT Solutions

In this position, you will collaborate closely with the manufacturing and engineering teams at Yacht to enhance production processes and equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the architectural design of Industry 4.0 solutions developed within our organization. We are seeking a skilled and proactive Azure IoT architect.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the Azure Industrial IoT architecture (both hardware and software) based on client requirements, considering the entire end-to-end data chain and addressing all stakeholder needs, including compliance with enterprise IT architecture standards.
- Provide hands-on implementation support for the proposed architecture in close collaboration with the project team.
- Develop technical solutions and create proof-of-concept demonstrations to validate the defined solutions.
- Work closely with business consultants and other Yacht divisions to gather and comprehend user requirements.
- Assist in making decisions regarding the sourcing of various components of the solutions.
- Establish design specifications for new complex manufacturing equipment and lines, drawing from personal insights or input from relevant specialists.
- Guide designers to ensure that solutions are executed according to the agreed design specifications.
- Ensure the creation and realization of architectures with a focus on architectural and design decisions.
- Continuously enhance the technical expertise of the core team by maintaining a broad network of specialists, coaching other architects, sharing best practices within the Architecture Community, and conducting Architecture Assessments.
Your Team
You will be part of a diverse team of technology experts, designers, project managers, and consultants at Yacht, all of whom possess extensive experience in supporting clients across various sectors, including semiconductor manufacturing and healthcare. The Mechatronics & Manufacturing Systems team, which is part of the Product & System Engineering department, supports Yacht's business units in all aspects of mechatronic device and equipment development, as well as Industry 4.0 and IIoT solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree with over 5 years of relevant experience in designing, developing, and sourcing Industrial Internet of Things solutions, particularly with the Azure IoT stack.
- Extensive knowledge of Industry 4.0 and Smart Factory technologies, with a focus on Industrial IoT.
- Experience integrating operational technology with the enterprise IT landscape, demonstrating a hands-on, proactive approach.
- Ability to define value propositions for Industrial IoT solutions, showcasing analytical skills and architectural thinking.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels. Proficiency in English is required; Dutch is preferred.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
