About this role

TNO is seeking a highly skilled Computational Toxicologist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for developing and applying computational tools for hazard prediction and risk assessment.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate the research agenda on computational toxicology with TNO colleagues and experts from academia and industry.
  • Implement existing and develop new computational tools for hazard prediction and risk assessment.
  • Make scientific knowledge and computational tools applicable for industrial players.
  • Initiate and participate in writing project proposals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary research projects.
  • Participate in scientific discussions with international experts from various fields.
  • Publish results in scientific media and fora.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in computational toxicology, bioinformatics, data science, or a related field.
  • Experience in developing and applying computational tools for hazard prediction.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the toxicology field.
  • Strong analytical mindset, pro-active attitude, and excellent communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Eager to learn new science and expand current knowledge.
