Job Title: Product Application Laboratory Technician

Location: Delft, the Netherlands

Job Model: On-site

We are seeking a motivated laboratory technician to join our team at the product application lab in Delft. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the lab as the lab caretaker, coordinating tasks around the lab, including QESH, equipment maintenance, chemical registration, and delivering regular technical support for service requests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lab caretaker tasks: equipment maintenance, chemical management/purchase, QESH coordination, safety rounds.
  • All-around tasks: manage raw material and enzyme collections, prepare samples for sending, prepare analytical request forms.
  • Regular lab experiments to support brewing service requests.
  • Regular lab experiments to support ingredient processing service requests.

Requirements:

  • MBO or HBO education in (bio)chemistry, preferably with a track record in lab training.
  • 2-5 years of experience working in a (bio)chemistry lab, preferably with a lab caretaker role.
  • Familiar with laboratory analytical equipment, such as HPLC.
  • Love to work in a lab environment and understand the safety regulations needed for a lab environment.
  • Flexible, able to deal with multiple (small) requests on a daily basis.
  • Structured, work with to-do lists to track and achieve progress.
