About the Role

We are seeking a skilled C++ Software Developer to join our team in Den Haag, Netherlands. As a C++ Software Developer, you will be working on the foundation of the Prescan product, a simulation platform for virtual development and validation of active safety and Automated Driving systems.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with Stakeholders to capture requirements clearly and effectively.
  • Design and Implement Features depending on their complexity, either individually or collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Write High-Quality C++ Code that is clean, maintainable, and efficient, leveraging templates where appropriate.
  • Consider Efficiency and Latency in your work, addressing these concerns with ease.
  • Contribute to Process Improvement by assisting the team in enhancing tooling and refining work practices.
  • Participate in Retrospectives to evaluate and enhance our development process.

Your Qualifying Characteristics

  • Collaborative Nature - Your fluency in English enables you to articulate complex ideas effectively within a multidisciplinary team and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • C++ Proficiency - You have a solid grasp of modern C++ features and best practices, using templates to create elegant solutions and a deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Test-Driven Development (TDD) - You are experienced in TDD methodologies, ensuring robust and reliable code through continuous testing and able to write unit tests, integration tests, and automated test scripts.
  • Architecture and Design - You are an expert in software architecture and design principles, capable of creating scalable and maintainable systems.
  • Tool Familiarity - You are familiar with version control and source code management tools like Git, GitLab, Mercurial, Conan, Artifactory, and Jenkins.
  • Signal Processing Insight - You have a basic understanding of signal processing concepts, including filtering, FFT, and resampling.
  • Continuous Learning - You have a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in autonomous vehicle technology and software engineering, always willing to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
