Logistics Expert with Customs Clearance Specialization

ViaEurope, an Amsterdam-founded e-logistics company, seeks a skilled Logistics Expert with a specialization in customs clearance to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering reliable information to internal and external parties regarding customs-related inquiries.

As a Logistics Expert, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and reliable customs clearance process, sorting, and product handling for thousands of parcels each day. You will work closely with other departments to address customer needs, customs inquiries, technology utilization, and departmental efficiencies.

Key responsibilities include taking care of all customs clearance and control matters, providing accurate and efficient support services to internal and external contacts, checking and answering inquiries about customs matters, scanning data, and ensuring correct recording in our system. You will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive business and customer relationships.

To succeed in this role, you will need a solid understanding of our operations and the ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously. You will be working in a team environment, collaborating with other departments to achieve our goals. Clear communication, speed, and quality are vital to your success in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the efficient and reliable customs clearance process
  • Provide accurate and efficient support services to internal and external contacts
  • Check and answer inquiries about customs matters
  • Scan data and ensure correct recording in our system
  • Establish and maintain positive business and customer relationships

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience as a customs declarant, preferably with a professional certificate declarant. You should have strong problem-solving skills, be stress-resistant, and able to work under pressure. You should also be a curious person, always eager to learn and seek further education or training.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately €55,000 - €65,000 per year, depending on your experience. We also offer an education budget for conferences and online learning materials, ensuring ongoing learning opportunities for all team members.
