TNO is seeking a highly motivated and curious individual to join our team as an intern in the field of electrofuels. As a key player in the energy transition, we are working on innovative solutions to reduce CO2 emissions and develop sustainable energy sources.
What will be your role?In this internship, you will be working on the development of electrochemical cells for CO2 reduction. Your tasks will include:
- Performing literature reviews and gaining knowledge on materials for CO2 reduction, electrode design strategies, and electrochemical cell design.
- Designing and synthesizing copper-based nanostructures for use in electrochemical cells.
- Preparing and testing membrane-electrode assemblies (MEAs) for CO2 reduction.
- Conducting electrochemical experiments and analyzing data to optimize MEA performance.
- Participating in discussions with colleagues and presenting findings.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong interest in the energy transition and a passion for problem-solving. You should have:
- A duration of at least 6 months available for the internship.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a small team.
- High motivation and a curious nature.
