Job Overview

Destinus is a pioneering aerospace technology company that's pushing the boundaries of space travel. We're building near-space vehicles and infrastructure to make distance a thing of the past. Our hydrogen-powered vehicles are ten times faster than conventional aircraft, providing a just-in-time backbone for logistics, e-commerce, and supply chain companies.

We're looking for a skilled Technology Support Engineer to join our Engineering team. In this role, you'll provide engineering support for our gas turbine gensets to our Service and Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary point of contact for our Service team for technical issues in the field.
  • Liaise with engineering colleagues to obtain specific knowledge to resolve issues.
  • Perform vibration analysis of engine factory tests and field units.
  • Drive the development of our remote condition monitoring technology, including software and hardware improvements.
  • Gather and analyze data from the field and provide recommendations.
  • Provide reports to clients about the machine's status and performance.
  • Support the different engineering teams during the roll-out of new procedures and specifications applicable to the Service and Operations teams.
  • Occasional travel to customer sites and work outside of office hours may be required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering subject (e.g. mechanical, controls, electrical, mechatronics).
  • Some years of relevant work experience is an advantage, but recent graduates are also encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in rotating equipment would be an advantage.
  • Experience in control systems engineering or PLC programming would be an advantage.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Important competencies are customer focus, flexibility, team player, good communication skills, and problem-solving.
