Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. As a key member of our Finance team, you will be responsible for securing timely and accurate reporting of our legal entities, both to Corporate and in compliance with local requirements.

You will contribute to improving processes and driving improvements within the organization. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Timely, complete and accurate month-end close process
• Performing month-end close activities in line with IFRS and Marel accounting guidelines and implementing new accounting and reporting requirements into systems and processes
• Securing compliance with corporate policies and guidelines as well as local laws and legislation and VAT
• Preparing and adjusting finance journal entries, such as accruals, deferrals, reclass and interdepartmental entries in the company's accounting ledger
• Performing account analysis to ensure that entries and balances are correct
• Reconciling monthly general ledger to ensure that all entries are accurate and that transactions are reported in accordance with accounting standards and government regulations

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor Degree in Business Economics and/or Business Administration
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant working experience in a project-driven company
• Analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
• Advanced ERP knowledge, with the ability to turn data into management information
• Fluent in both Dutch and English (spoken and written)
• Excellent skills in MS-Office, especially Excel
• Hands-on mentality, dynamic, enthusiastic and solution-oriented
