Job Overview

A. General Responsibilities

  • Responsible for project-oriented commissioning of systems and the service/maintenance of existing installations.
  • Engagement in projects coordinated with the Service Coordinator, where the Project Manager outlines tasks and the Service Manager defines methodologies (matrix structure).
  • Commissioning systems in accordance with KOG standards.

B. Key Activities

  • Oversee the installation, initiation, and commissioning of delivered systems on-site, requiring frequent international travel.
  • Conduct system evaluations, including:
  • Managing internal tests, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) as per specifications.
  • Executing panel tests and establishing testing facilities in collaboration with the projects department.
  • Performing functional assessments of engineered systems and documenting test results accurately.
  • Assembling project documentation, installation guides, operation manuals, and testing protocols, including software documentation.
  • Providing service and maintenance, which includes:
  • Conducting routine maintenance and validation of installed systems.
  • Offering customer support for installed systems, either remotely or on-site.
  • Organizing training sessions and preparing training materials for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assisting other departments with issues related to existing systems and sales processes.

C. Additional Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with the company's ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 QHSE Procedures in all tasks.
  • Support the organization in achieving its objectives of "Best Practice" and "First Time Right" consistently.
  • Exhibit commercial awareness in business decision-making.
  • Fulfill all relevant assigned responsibilities.
  • Share accountability for maintaining a tidy and organized workspace within the department.
  • The role involves working abroad, comprising approximately 50 to 70 percent of the workload.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong technical and commercial insight with a flexible and proactive approach.
  • Interest and knowledge in the Oil & Gas sector, particularly in Custody Transfer Metering and related supervisory systems.
  • Familiarity with CT standards and guidelines such as ISO, AGA, API, OIML, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with PLC and SCADA software, computer systems/networking, field instrumentation, communication protocols, and general software programming.
  • Understanding of software development methodologies, automated testing, and software architecture.
  • Proficiency in both Dutch and English, written and spoken.
