About the Position:

As a key member of our Mitsubishi Chemical Europe team, you will be responsible for the operation and development of our location to ensure timely delivery of products that meet our quality standards. Your primary goal will be to create a safe and efficient work environment, aligning with our Mid-Term Plan and legal requirements.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Budget Management and Production Planning: Oversee the production of plastic products, drive continuous manufacturing improvements, and ensure capacity planning is optimized.
  • EHS Leadership: Foster a culture of employee safety, drive improvements, and maintain a comprehensive written Safety Plan.
  • Quality and Environment: Develop a high-quality working environment, supporting the Quality Manager in planning and implementation.
  • Performance Management: Ensure established standards of quality, accuracy, and performance are maintained, directing corrective measures when necessary.
  • Employee Management: Review employee performance, approve hires, terminations, transfers, and promotions, and develop ongoing training programs.
  • Operational Efficiency: Maximize employee efficiency and profitability of operations.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with Sales to develop new products and generate new business opportunities.
  • Planning and Performance: Oversee the planning department to improve manufacturing process efficiency and accuracy.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and maintain performance measures for manufacturing operations.
  • Infrastructure and Coordination: Support infrastructural needs, plans, and programs, ensuring coordination with related parties.
  • Organizational Structure: Ensure an organizational structure that provides a clear overview of facts and figures, defining tasks and programs to achieve targets.

Your Qualifications and Skills:

  • University degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Several years of experience in managing large manufacturing operations (plastics/chemical industry preferred).
  • Highly experienced in Safety, Stable Operations, Continuous Improvement, and Project Management.
  • Strong people leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication in Dutch (native) and English.
