Cybersecurity Storyteller

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Storyteller to join our team at the CyberPeace Institute. As a key member of our Communications unit, you will be responsible for leading and implementing our storytelling and communication strategy, managing a global community to highlight the human impact of cyberattacks and disinformation on vulnerable communities through compelling narratives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy to engage and inspire a global audience.
• Manage a global community to tell the stories of harms of cyberattack and disinformation against the most vulnerable.
• Deliver and ensure quality control of the Institute's communication's products, including website, social media presence, newsletters, releases, email announcements, planned publications, online, intranet, video, etc.
• Ensure alignment with the Institute's culture, values, and beliefs across all communications.
• Craft and communicate high-quality compelling narratives across various platforms, including events, social media, blogs, and websites.
• In cooperation with the Strategy, Fundraising & Partnerships, ensure that the communication strategy creates fundraising opportunities.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years' experience in communications, marketing, digital marketing, journalism, media, storytelling, community management & engagement, or related field.
• Studies in a relevant field.
• Ability to lead and manage a communications unit.
• Creativity in playing with words, images, and interactive experience.
• Capacity to co-create content in a crowdsourced manner.
• Hands-on expertise in designing, publishing, and assessing the performance of publications.
• Master design suites or software.
• Hands-on expertise of using LLM and GenAI.
• Web design and web development skills.
• Strong community creation, engagement, and management skills.
• Capacity to be flexible and adapt to learn technical skills independently.
• Work at a fast pace in an environment with a diverse skill set and background.
• Knowledge in the cybersecurity and emerging technology field is an asset.
• Fluency in English, spoken and written. Knowledge of French is an asset.
• Demonstrated commitment to work in NGOs - not for profit sector.
