About the RoleWe're looking for an experienced Data Platform Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be working on creating robust and efficient data pipelines and cloud-based data systems that transform raw data into actionable insights.
You'll ensure that our data processing systems are operational, secure, and compliant with industry standards and regulations. This includes continuously monitoring their performance and reliability, making necessary improvements to maintain high standards.
As a member of our team, you'll engage in knowledge-sharing activities, including code reviews, presentations, training sessions, and coaching, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Your proactive communication skills will enable you to maintain continuous collaboration with cross-functional teams, exploring fresh ways to leverage data for the benefit of the business.
You'll also advocate for and promote the principles of data agility, championing a dynamic and adaptable approach within the organization.
What You'll Enjoy- Creating scalable and efficient data pipelines using Kafka and other data processing tools.
- Designing and implementing cloud-based data systems that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for data-driven insights.
- Developing and delivering training programs to enhance team members' technical skills.
- Promoting a culture of innovation and experimentation within the organization.
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a data engineer or in a related role.
- Solid grasp of cloud best practices and experience working on Google Cloud and/or AWS platforms.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, with a willingness to use Python in your work.
- Experience with data processing platforms like Kafka, Airflow, Dataproc, or Dataflow.
- Track record of continuous integration, logging, and monitoring, with experience using Datadog being a plus.
- Competitive salary: €60,000 - €80,000 per year (depending on experience).
