Job Responsibilities
As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing design solutions that meet project requirements. You will work closely with the technical team to perform design tasks, draft reports and specifications, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure alignment on technical solutions.
Key Accountabilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing design and reporting activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Contributing to requirements analysis, concept generation, and system design specifications.
- Writing technical documents, equipment specifications, and contract specifications.
- Facilitating communication with stakeholders to gather input and ensure alignment on technical solutions.
- Participating in discussions with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders on technical aspects of proposed solutions.
- Supporting cost evaluations provided by suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborating with internal departments to optimize project outcomes.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor or Master degree in a related field.
- Minimum five years of experience in complex shipbuilding projects.
- Expertise in a variety of design concepts and practices.
- A good command of the Dutch and English language, both written and verbal.
- Permanent EU citizenship and passport.
Working Conditions
Opportunities for direct hire with long-term possibilities and a permanent contract. We prefer candidates who are not self-employed and are looking for a long-term commitment.
