Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Manager/Assistant Technical Manager to join our team at the LKS Cryo-Electron Microscopy Laboratory of the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS).
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the LKS Cryo-EM Laboratory, ensuring efficient and effective management of laboratory resources and personnel.
- Provide comprehensive training to new users and offer technical support to ensure seamless operation of laboratory equipment and facilities.
- Manage documentation and report preparation, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of laboratory activities and performance.
- Coordinate events and seminars, facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration among laboratory staff and external partners.
Requirements and Attributes
- Master's degree or higher in Biology, Physics, or related fields, with a strong background in cryo-electron microscopy and laboratory management.
- Proven experience in TEM, SEM, or Cryo-Electron Microscopy, with a track record of successful laboratory management and technical support.
- Self-driven, accountable, and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient in English and Chinese (including Putonghua), with strong language skills for effective communication and collaboration.
- Familiarity with MS Office, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports.
- Higher qualifications or experience may lead to Technical Manager role, with opportunities for career growth and development.
