Job Summary

The HKU is seeking a highly skilled IT Officer to assume a crucial role in promoting the adoption and optimal utilization of technology across the University. As a bridge between the IT department and other faculties/departments, the appointee will advocate for the strategic integration of technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and achieve overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize technology needs and opportunities for digital transformation.
  • Administer and secure Power Platform technologies to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Support creators in resolving functional issues and debugging apps, flows, and reports.
  • Develop and maintain technology stack resources to facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Facilitate digital transformation and technology adoption across the University, evaluating emerging technologies and their potential impact and benefits.
  • Address business needs by technology integration, ensuring alignment with University goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Good Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline with 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in tertiary institutions.
  • Excellent command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
  • Robust organization and communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of technology trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Ability to multi-task, collaborate effectively with team members, and work independently with attention to detail.

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, with a highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, contract-end gratuity, and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
