Global Payments Engineer

Airwallex is a global payments fintech company transforming the way businesses move and manage money globally. We have built a global financial infrastructure platform to help businesses transact, collect and pay across 130+ countries and 50+ currencies, without the constraints of the traditional global financial system.
We're looking for a skilled Global Payments Engineer to join our team in Shanghai or the Netherlands R&D center. As a key member of the PHP project, you will be involved in the development and integration of merchant services for various scenarios, assisting independent e-commerce website merchants in achieving end-to-end payment services and enhancing user experiences.
Responsibilities- Design and develop components based on the company's microservice framework;
- Introduce innovative technologies and innovative solutions for the team;
- Responsible for the construction and management of the technical team, and establishing good internal coding standards;
- Work with the business/product team to deeply understand the business needs, scenarios, and subsequent development directions, complete system analysis, architecture design, and core function development;
- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of the Airwallex engineering system;
- Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks and object-oriented PHP programming;
- Undergraduate and above in key colleges, computer science, and related majors;
- Familiar with common design patterns, with experience in the design and development of large-scale high availability systems;
- Familiar with HTTP, TCP/IP protocol, and REST specifications;
- Familiar with the use of Docker, K8s, and Cloud;
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3;
- Knowledge of WordPress and WordPress payment plugins (payment plugins - WooCommerce, Magento, etc.) is highly valued;
