Electrical Engineer

Avantor is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Tilburg. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and creation of technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation for single-use hardware systems used by our Biopharma customers. You will perform design, fabrication, assembly, and testing functions for electrical, mechanical, and other components/devices.


You will work closely with sub-contractors, customers, design engineers, account managers, customer service, production, and quality teams. We offer a 1-year contract with opportunities for extension based on performance. The role comes with a competitive salary, benefits, and a pension plan.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (HBO) or equivalent experience
  • Ability to design using electronic CAD software tools (E-Plan, Autocad-Electrical, etc.)
  • Experience with electrical drawings, design, and instrumentation control
  • Problem-solving skills and communication in English

Responsibilities

  • Design, engineering, and technical documentation creation for electrical systems
  • Proposal support with conceptual designs and cost calculations
  • Maintenance of specification documents for electrical components and installation processes
  • Vendor and subcontractor management for timely contributions to projects
  • Review and implementation of vendor designs in hardware design and application
  • Development of test and validation plans for compliance with regulations and customer requirements
  • Participation in field testing and validation of hardware projects
  • Preparation of spare part lists and preservation reports
  • Assistance in resolving customer complaints and notification of management
  • Development of standards and working methods for detailed engineering and commissioning
  • Contribution to internal tests and trials for R&D and development projects
