About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Host to join our team at voco The Hague. As a Food and Beverage Host, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Host and Serve Guests: Greet and welcome guests, take orders, and serve food and beverages in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with the kitchen, bar, and other departments to ensure seamless service and high-quality food and beverages.
  • Provide Excellent Service: Anticipate and meet the needs of our guests, ensuring their experience is exceptional and memorable.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Ensure the restaurant and bar areas are clean, safe, and well-maintained, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Handle Cash and Credit Transactions: Process payments, handle cash, and operate a point-of-sale system with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop a Proactive Attitude: Anticipate and address guest needs, suggesting menu items and making recommendations to enhance their experience.
  • Meet Local Laws and Regulations: Familiarize yourself with local laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Assist with Food Preparation and Dishwashing: Assist the kitchen and stewarding team with food preparation and dishwashing as needed.
  • Enhance the Culinary Experience: Suggest menu items, make recommendations, and provide exceptional service to create a memorable dining experience.
  • Live the Brand: Embody the voco The Hague brand, delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our guests.
  • Develop Awareness and Reputation: Contribute to the development of awareness and reputation of voco The Hague, Ultramarijn, and Botanica in the local community.
  • Promote Teamwork and Lifestyle Service: Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting lifestyle service and exceptional customer experiences.

Requirements

  • Passion for Hospitality: Demonstrate a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating memorable experiences.
  • Experience in F&B Operations: Possess experience in food and beverage operations within a hotel or restaurant setting.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Exhibit strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Pro-Active Attitude and Eye for Detail: Display a proactive attitude, with a keen eye for detail and a natural drive for continuous improvement.
  • Naturally Outgoing and Friendly Personality: Possess a naturally outgoing and friendly personality, with a passion for service excellence and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • True Team-Player Mentality: Demonstrate a true team-player mentality, with a flexible attitude towards a diverse set of tasks.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in Dutch and other languages a plus.
