Embedded Systems Integration Specialist

About the Role

At Yacht, we are seeking a skilled Embedded Systems Integration Specialist to join our team. As an integral part of our Embedded Engineering department, you will be responsible for verifying the compliance of embedded systems with specified functional requirements and ensuring correct intercommunication between various system elements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical education, preferably in Mechanics, Automotive, Electronics, or Computer Science, and multiple years of experience in the Automotive work field. Experience with Vector tooling and knowledge of automotive systems, particularly heavy-duty, are considered assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop test procedures to determine whether the product works as expected before delivery to the customer.
  • Verify the compliance of embedded systems with specified functional requirements and correct intercommunication between various system elements.
  • Work in a multicultural, multidisciplinary, and highly dynamic environment for various projects.
  • Collaborate with verification engineers, support engineers, and project development stakeholders, such as software, hardware engineers, and project lead engineers.

Requirements

  • Technical education on Bachelor/Master level in Mechanics, Automotive, Electronics, Computer Science, or comparable.
  • Multiple years of experience in the Automotive work field.
  • Experience with Vector tooling is an asset.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems, particularly heavy-duty, is an asset.
  • Knowledge of embedded software design processes (according to the V-cycle).
  • Experience in embedded software and integration testing (minimum of 2-3 years of test experience).
  • Knowledge of test techniques (test certificate, ISTQB is an asset).
  • Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Understanding of Matlab/Simulink.
  • Knowledge of model-based design techniques is preferred.
  • Demonstrated communication skills, professionalism, result-orientation, and customer-orientation.
  • Experience in test automation is a plus.
  • Experience with scrum/agile is a plus.
  • Team Player: able to work effectively with diverse Engineering teams, committed to relationship building with Colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Result-driven attitude, self-supporting, hands-on.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to work under pressure.
