Public Policy Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Policy Manager to join our team in Europe. As a key member of our Government Affairs and Public Policy team, you will play a critical role in shaping Google's approach to diverse public policy topics, including AI privacy, children's privacy, international data flows, privacy-enhancing technologies, and consent.

• Develop and implement Google's policy strategy on AI and data governance issues in Europe.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive our holistic privacy strategy in Europe, including developing company-wide positions, narratives, and programming.
• Monitor and engage with stakeholders on legislative, regulatory, and policy initiatives related to data protection and AI.
• Represent Google with policymakers, civil society, and regulators, participating in stakeholder forums, working groups, and industry forums.

• 7+ years of experience in policy analysis and campaigns, working on technology issues or the policy environments that surround them.
• 7+ years of experience working within government, think tanks, public interest groups, technology industry groups, or corporate public policy organizations.
• Experience in privacy and data protection, policy stakeholder engagement in multiple European countries, and delivering impact via complex cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to write and present clearly, adapting a message to varied audiences.
