Project Engineer Dredging Job Description

Make your mark at Boskalis as a project engineer. In this role, you will ensure a project has the best possible start by taking care of work preparation. You will coordinate and manage the workload on the project to deliver high-quality work on time and in accordance with contractual agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning and Coordination: Translate contract requirements into detailed planning and working methods to realize projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Stakeholder Management: Consult with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the right working methods, employees, and equipment are available when needed.
  • Engineering Scope Definition: Define the engineering scope for small projects or parts of complex projects, including staffing, planning, and budgeting.
  • Quality and Safety: Supervise and assess work of colleagues, subcontractors, and customers to ensure projects and designs are executed in accordance with requirements.
  • Reporting and Progress: Report progress to internal and external stakeholders and identify deviations in time, engineering resource demand, quality, or cost.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 5-7 years' relevant experience in a dredging, maritime, and/or offshore environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably civil engineering, maritime engineering, or technical engineering.
  • Language: Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Travel: No problem traveling globally on a regular basis.
